Tim grew up at Oaklands Stud in Wellington and worked under Paul Timms for 5 years. He learned to ride under the tutelage of Cape jockey Brandon Morgenrood and was taught the medical aspects of horse-care under Nadine Agrella. Tim has been part of the Riethuiskraal team for the past 5 years.
